Hilton has opened the first underwater restaurant in the world at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa Rangali Island. Restaurant can only seat 14 at a time and is accomplished by spiral stairs. THe food is described as contemporary cuisine restaurants in the Maldive same as the big cities but with a school of fish swimming over your head might be easier to ignore the food. Restaurants sitting more than 16 meters into the sea of India and has been viewed 270-degree water. restaurant, Ithaa, using curved acrylic gives the sensation of eating houses are surrounded by water. Ithaa sit five meters below the surface of the Indian Ocean, encased in plexiglass and reached by spiral stairs. This restaurant offers a magnificent view and the ‘fusion cuisine of the Maldives’ (local cooking with a touch of the west), and rumor says that more than a place for lunch was so bright that guests and staff had to wear sunglasses (they even keep spare parts on hand and offer hygiene sunglasses). Sounds like fun, although I imagine seeing the sunrise while eating breakfast in bed is even better. Currently, the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa Rangali Island, and to celebrate the birthday of restaurants offering guests the chance not only to eat beneath the sea but also to sleep beneath. 12-seat restaurant will be converted into a private bedroom suite for two, complete with a private champagne dinner and breakfast in bed.
