INTEGRETITY
We read in the Bible about great name of god by name Job, he was known for his integrity.” There was name….whose name was J ob, he was perfect and upright, and that feared god and shunned evil”. [Job 1:1]
Chronologically the book of Job was first written out of 66 books of the bible. That is why we don’t get any mention of Moses, Abraham, David and other important people of Bible.
We also, as we Christians and true children of God we must keep our life with integrity. In this translation of the Bible, which is directly from greek language and not from English, these words are very emphatically written.
We must learn to say two words, YES and NO frequently. Yes to God saying “YES LORD” no to satan “NO STAN”. Everyday we face situations where we have to make a choice. Choice for good and choice for bad. This choice helps us to grow in the Lord, move forward, move high and move deep in our spiritual life.
God has given us conscience. Everyone of us Christians and non- Christians . our conscience is like a police man, like a traffic signal showing red or green, right or wrong, good or bad. We have to choose the right thing and learn to please God. We should never try to please people or world or Satan. St.Paul said ,”for do I please men or God? For if do I seek to please men? For if I yet please men, I should not be the servant of god”. [Gal 1:10]
We have to keep on integrity in our house. Never speak a lie with your spouse or children? They must know that you are a person of integrity. The same thing with a neighbour , should not deceive them or pluck their fruit which are hanging in your compound.
In your office you should keep your conscience clean .should not take bribe. Bribe brings curse , defeat sickness in your life and family life. Small things like, note books, ball pens, white papers, rubber bands etc, you should not bring home. Once in a way we go to hotel as a family , after food I used to take a lot of tooth picks. Yes they are kept there for our use. But we are not supposed to take a lot of them, one or two only. I repented and stopped doing that.
In all the areas of our life we must keep our conscience clean. The Bible says thos who don’t keep their conscience clean are like a ship wrecked in the mid sea. “holdind faith, and a good conscience, which some having put away made ship wreck” .[1Tim 1:19]
The blessing of god is most important to us in this world. God cannot bless a man living in sin and not keeping his conscience clean, what we think in our mind we must speak outside, what we speak with our mouth we must do and practice. Pharases were saying a lot of good things but they are not practicing. The Lord condemned them and said owe unto you pharases. St.paul said , they that hear the law are not righteous but they that do according to the lord. Even in small small matters keep your conscience clean. Learn to say sorry immediately both to god and man. Keep short accounts.
